Paramount has released a new clip from the season three finale of STAR TREK: PICARD, offering a tense preview of the episode's central confrontation as Jean-Luc Picard, played by Patrick Stewart , boards a Borg Cube in a desperate bid to rescue his son Jack, portrayed by Ed Speleers . The footage captures the emotional and physical stakes of the series' concluding chapter, titled "The Last Generation," now streaming on Paramount+.

STAR TREK: PICARD follows the legendary Starfleet admiral decades after the events of THE NEXT GENERATION, exploring his later years, his complicated legacy, and the relationships that define him. Season three brought back much of the original TNG ensemble and introduced Jack Crusher as a pivotal new character whose mysterious connection to the Borg collective drives the final arc. In the clip, a decaying Borg Queen, played by Annie Wersching , confronts Picard as Jack sinks deeper into the Hive Mind, and she lays out her vision for the collective's future.

The finale represents the culmination of showrunner Terry Matalas's vision for the season, which leaned heavily into serialized storytelling and nostalgia for the franchise's television roots. The season earned considerable praise from longtime fans for reuniting Stewart with costars including Jonathan Frakes , LeVar Burton, Gates McFadden , Marina Sirtis , Michael Dorn , and Brent Spiner in a story that functions as both a send-off and a celebration of that era.
