PMT House of Dance will launch a Pedagogy Training Program at its New York City studio, covering foundational dance education principles, cultural influences on teaching, and somatic practices for $100 per session.

This course explores the foundational pedagogical principles of dance education, preparing students to develop an ethical, adaptable, and informed teaching practice. It examines how the dance marketplace and various educational contexts shape the role of the educator across different levels of training. Students will also investigate how cultural, environmental, social, and economic factors influence teaching, while gaining insight into cross-training and somatic practices. Emphasis is placed on creating safe, inclusive, and responsible learning environments!
