Portrayal of Guilt are about to begin their tour supporting their new album, …Beginning of the End , which came out in April. Ahead of those shows, they told us about 10 bands they listen to while on the road. See their list and commentary, and stream the new album, below.

Morbid Angel

Some of the hardest and most creative riffs of all time, I listen to Morbid Angel almost daily on any drive of ours.

NØ MAN

These are some of our favorite people. The band features the entire Majority Rule line-up with our friend Maha on vocals. They’re a band whose albums I can listen to front to back on long drives, which isn’t as common as you’d think.

Drahla

This band sounds like a modern day Sonic Youth in my opinion. I still don’t understand why they don’t get that credit, everything they do is unique and tasteful. No skips can be found in their discography.

Miasmatic Necrosis

This band might be my favorite goregrind band of the past decade, their one and only album is on constant rotation.

Physique

One of the few d-beat/crust bands doing it right these days in my opinion. Their split with Electric Chair is so good. Can’t wait for another album…

Nine Inch Nails

I’ve been listening to The Fragile a ton lately. I will very likely continue to do so, especially on our upcoming tour.

Raspberry Bulbs

The drums on the most recent Raspberry Bulbs record are amazing, we run up their discography in the van quite a bit. They’re easily one of my favorite current bands.

Killing Joke

One of my favorite bands of all time, Geordie Walker’s riffs inspire a lot of how I play guitar. Always on rotation.

Lathe of Heaven

A newer band that we’ve also had the privilege of touring with. Their music feels genuine and effortless, they’re one of the best true post-punk bands in the game right now.

Massive Attack

Massive Attack helps ease my mind in any situation, especially long drives. Mezzanine & Protection are go-to’s.
