Pussycat Dolls Cancel North American Reunion Tour Due to Slow Ticket Sales

The Pussycat Dolls  have cancelled all but one of the North American dates on their ‘PCD Forever Tour’ amid reports of weak ticket sales.

The ‘Don’t Cha’ girl group  announced in March that they had reformed as a trio , made up of  Nicole Scherzinger , Ashley Roberts and Kimberly Wyatt, and would be heading on a world comeback tour to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut album ‘PCD’.

They announced an extensive 53-date tour, the first 33 of which were set to see them travel across North America, with  Lil’ Kim  and Mya, before heading to the UK and Ireland for nine dates in September.

However, the group posted on Instagram yesterday (Monday May 4), explaining: “When we announced the ‘PCD Forever Tour’, we hoped to bring the show to fans across the world. After taking an honest look at the North American run, we’ve made the difficult and heartbreaking decision to cancel all but one of the North America dates.”

The one remaining US show will be at Outloud Festival during WeHo Pride near Los Angeles on June 6, with the group adding: “We could not think of a more meaningful place to celebrate with our fans. The LGBTQ+ community has shown us so much love and support throughout our career, and we’re honoured to be part of a weekend rooted in joy, pride, music and chosen family.”

The UK and European dates are going ahead as planned, and they added that “several shows have already sold out”. Find remaining tickets for those shows  here .

Tickets for the cancelled shows that were purchased via Ticketmaster will be automatically refunded, while resale tickets will have to be refunded from the third-party vendor.

The group did not specify why the shows have had to be called off, but  Sky News  reported last month that the North American shows were showing significantly slow ticket sales, with the opening night in Palm Springs only selling 4,000 out of 11,000 tickets after several weeks of availability.

Shortly after the tour announcement, original member Carmir Bachar – who was part of the first line-up alongside Scherzinger, Roberts, Wyatt, Jessica Sutta and Melody Thornton –  said she was not included in the reunion and that she learned of the plans “at the same time as the public.”

Sutta later also spoke out about being excluded , saying she was “blindsided” by the news and saying that she thought it was due to her backing of RFK Jr, the controversial U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services, who she affectionately referred to as “Bobby.”

The girl group have also shared new single ‘Club Song’ the first new material since 2019’s ‘React’. It is produced by Mike Sabbath ( RAYE ,  Jade ) and written by Scherzinger with Sabbath, Caroline Ailin ( Dua Lipa ) and Solly ( Teddy Swims ). Listen to it above.

On top of that, they have announced a deluxe edition of their 2005 debut album on vinyl and digital with new and unreleased tracks on May 8. You can pre-order it here .
