Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre’s production of ALL SHOOK UP delivers exactly what audiences want from an Elvis jukebox musical: energetic dance numbers, familiar hits, and a cast that throws itself fully into the fun. As Broadway Palm describes, "It’s Footloose, Grease and Happy Days all rolled into one zany story." While the show itself, to me, isn’t one of the stronger jukebox musicals structurally, this production succeeds because of the commitment and charisma of its performers.

The standout performance of the evening came from Ross Coughlin as Dennis. Coughlin brings excellent comedic timing, heart, and sincerity to the role, making Dennis one of the most genuinely lovable characters onstage. His scenes consistently landed with the audience and gave the show some of its strongest emotional moments.
Another highlight was Zyana Cola as Lorraine, whose vocals and Stage Presence brought warmth and confidence to every scene. Her chemistry with Chris Graham as Dean Hyde was especially charming, and together they created one of the production’s most engaging storylines. Graham gave Dean an appealing sweetness that made his transformation throughout the show enjoyable to watch.
Leading the production are Darcy Reimler as Natalie, the town mechanic, and Austin Wicke as Chad, a new rebellious guy who has just rolled into town. Natalie instantly falls for Chad, but Chad has eyes for Miss Sandra (Ellie O'Hara). Reimler handles Natalie’s journey well and delivers strong vocals throughout the evening, while Wicke fully embraces Chad’s swagger and rock-and-roll energy. Their performances keep the production moving smoothly through some of the show’s thinner plot points.
Director and choreographer Amy Marie McCleary, alongside associate director/choreographer Jelani Bell, keeps the production lively and visually entertaining. The choreography is easily one of the strongest elements of the show, capturing the playful spirit and nonstop momentum that an Elvis-inspired musical needs. The ensemble remains energetic throughout and helps maintain the production’s upbeat atmosphere.
At the end of the day, ALL SHOOK UP may not have the strongest book, but Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre has assembled a talented cast and creative team that make it an entertaining night of theatre filled with strong performances and crowd-pleasing musical numbers.
