You will be infatuated with the dining experience at Sea Fire Grill. This sophisticated restaurant in Midtown East offers a tantalizing menu, an elevated beverage program, and impeccable service, all in a chic, relaxing atmosphere. It has a very loyal following and it’s easy to understand why. The Benjamin Restaurant Group, renowned in NYC for classic steakhouse fare with Benjamin Steakhouse, went beyond beef to develop Sea Fire Grill and it has proved to be one of the most successful seafood establishments in the city.

The location on East 48th Street between 3rd Avenue and Lexington Avenue is ideal for the business community. The front of the house is anchored by a welcoming bar and high-top tables. It’s a great spot to stop by for drinks. And there’s a 3-course “Power Lunch” special that shouldn’t be missed. For $45, you can choose from an appetizer such as Imported Burrata or Spanish Octopus; an entrée with selections like Petite Filet Mignon or Roasted Mediterranean Branzino; and indulge in dessert choices that include Tiramisu or Ice Cream. It is served from 11:30 am to 3:00 pm.

We visited Sea Fire Grill for dinner and enjoyed every moment of our experience. The spacious main dining room is beautifully appointed with walnut wine racks, a grand fireplace and tables for all size parties. The menu highlights locally-sourced, contemporary American seafood prepared with a gourmet flair and a served with a picture-perfect presentation.

Start your meal with delectable Raw Bar selections. Guest favorites include the Daily Selection of East and West Coast Oysters, Chilled Whole Lobster and Colossal Shrimp. The appetizers are distinctively delicious. The Beet Salad with Roasted Beets, Apples, Arugula and Pistachio has the ideal blend of flavors and the Pan Roasted Day Boat Scallops with Celery Root Puree and Caviar Beurre Blanc is a one-of-a-kind dish.

When you move on to mains, the choices are so tempting that you may have a little trouble choosing. The Roasted Nova Scotia Halibut is served with Lemon Gnocchi, Fava Beans, Kale Chimichurri and Beurre Blanc. The moist, flaky piece of halibut has the perfect complements. A specialty is the blackened Montauk Swordfish. This generous portion of perfectly prepared swordfish is served with a savory tartar sauce and avocado mousse. Other seafood dishes include Organic Scottish Salmon, Squid Ink Spaghetti with Fresh Maine Lobster, and King Crab Legs.

If you don’t prefer seafood, be assured there are other exquisite selections to enjoy such as the 20-ounce Bone-In Ribeye, Surf and Turf, Rack of Colorado Lamb and the Bell & Evans Farm Raised Chicken.

Sides round out your meal. Order a few for the table like Mixed Seasonal Mushrooms, Fingerling Potatoes, Lobster Mac and Cheese, Grilled Jumbo Asparagus, Shishito Peppers and others.
