The work is considered a comedy and indeed it is witty and bitingly funny, but it is more known for it’s pathos. A “dramedy” is the term I think more appropriate. Theatre 29's production of "Steel Magnolias" springs to blazing life, captivating audiences with its heartfelt portrayals and seamless production. Under the expert direction of Lisa Hodgson, this all-female production team has woven together a tapestry of humor, resilience, and southern charm that leaves a lasting impression.
