Widely regarded as one of the most powerful and moving musicals ever written, Carousel features an unforgettable score including "If I Loved You," "June Is Bustin' Out All Over," and "You'll Never Walk Alone." Set against the backdrop of a coastal New England fishing village, the story follows the passionate and complicated relationship between carousel barker Billy Bigelow and millworker Julie Jordan, exploring themes of love, redemption, forgiveness, and hope.

Wagon Wheel audiences may remember the theatre's acclaimed 2012 production of Carousel, which featured alumna Erika Henningsen as Carrie Pipperidge. Following her time at Wagon Wheel, Henningsen went on to originate the role of Cady Heron in Mean Girls on Broadway. She has since appeared as Fantine in the Broadway revival of LES MISERABLES, starred opposite Jonathan Groff in Just in Time, and can now be seen as Ginny in Netflix's The Four Seasons alongside Steve Carell , Tina Fey , and Colman Domingo .

While longtime theatre lovers will recognize the beloved Rodgers & Hammerstein classic, audiences can expect fresh surprises in Wagon Wheel's new production. Directed in the theatre's intimate theatre-in-the-round setting, this revival brings renewed focus to the story's enduring message of strength, forgiveness, and the transformative power of second chances.

"During opening night, you could hear a pin drop," said Sam Engle, Communications and Donor Relations Coordinator at Wagon Wheel. "Audiences are really resonating with the powerful message of this story. It's a story that needs to be told, and we are honored to share it with such tender care and intentionality. There is a powerful call to action woven throughout Carousel. It reminds us that we all have a responsibility to find strength, offer forgiveness, and help build a brighter future for the next generation."

Performances continue through June 27. Tickets start at $25 and may be purchased online at wagonwheelcenter.org, by calling the Box Office at (574) 267-8041, or by visiting Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts at 2515 E. Center Street in Warsaw, Indiana.
