Rosie's House: A Music Academy for Children celebrated a major milestone with its Ovation Gala at the Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia, the culminating event of its 30th Anniversary celebration.

The evening drew a record-breaking crowd of 400 attendees, bringing together community leaders, artists, and supporters to raise $500,000 in support of the organization’s mission to provide music education opportunities to youth across Phoenix. According to Rosie's House, this marks the highest amount raised in the organization’s annual fundraiser history.

Held on Saturday, April 25, the Ovation Gala honored Nancy Spetzler, Robert Spetzler, Christina Spetzler, and Stephen Chilton, founder of Psyko Steve Presents and owner of The Rebel Lounge. Rosie's House noted that the Spetzler family has supported the organization for nearly a decade, while Chilton has continued to support emerging musicians and Phoenix’s live music community.

The evening opened with a cocktail reception featuring music by Hyperbella. Décor for the event was provided by White House Design Studio, while guests participated in auctions featuring arts, culinary, and travel experiences.

The formal program was emceed by Kristy Siefkin and included remarks from Ovation Gala Co-Chairs Neda Hassanzadeh and Savannah Wix. A live auction and paddle raise led by Anna Aja supported Rosie's House programming.

Auction items included a Fender Stratocaster signed by members of The Format, a cooking class for 12 at Vincent on Camelback, a five-night Hawaiian vacation, a private dinner hosted by Chef Devan Cunningham of The Good Food Table, and a seven-night Jackson Hole stay with tickets to the Grand Teton Music Festival.

Student performances throughout the evening included the Rosie's House Flute Quartet performing Canzone by Ricky Lombardo, senior pianist Omarali Fuertebances performing Frédéric Chopin’s Fantaisie-Impromptu , and fourth-grade violinist Pedro Jimenez performing Concerto No. 2 in G Major, Op. 13 by Friedrich Seitz.

The event also included a video message from Josh Groban , whose Find Your Light Foundation supports Rosie's House programming. Founder Rosie Schurz, now 90 years old, attended the gala and received a standing ovation.

The evening concluded with a performance by the Rosie's House Ovation Gala Ensemble featuring an arrangement of Can't Stop the Feeling! by Justin Timberlake . The ensemble included Rosie's House student instrumentalists and vocalists performing on marimba, xylophone, guitar, cymbals, and piano.

Following the program, guests continued the evening at an after-party at Centro.

“What we saw tonight is the power of a community investing in its young people,” said Becky Bell Ballard, CEO of Rosie's House. “This support directly translates into more students and families having access to the tools, instruction, and encouragement they need to succeed through music.”
