Earlier this week, Sam Ryder surprised crowds at The Other Songs Live event at The London Palladium and performed ‘Gethsemane’ from Jesus Christ Superstar with Andrew Lloyd Webber on piano. Check out the video here!

Ryder will make his West End debut in the titular role of Jesus beginning in October. The London Palladium season has already broken box office records and has been extended for a limited 12-week run at Theatre Royal Drury Lane starting in October.

Ryder 's recording of Gethsemane is now available to listen to on all streaming platforms. Stream the song here , ahead of a physical release later this summer.

On May 19, The Other Songs delivered another edition of The Other Songs Live, a special fundraiser in aid of The BRIT School, the UK’s leading free performing and creative arts school. The Other Songs have made history with last night’s event becoming their biggest fundraiser to date, with donations still coming in from the guests who attended.

Other performers included The BRIT School students, Zach Nahome, Cathy Dennis, Rex Orange County, and Nile Rodgers . They all performed music from Olivia Dean, RAYE, Amy Winehouse , Chappell Roan , Justin Bieber , DNCE, Britney Spears , Kylie Minogue , Sister Sledge, and David Bowie .

For the first time in The London Palladium's history, audiences can stand on stage during JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, with tickets priced at £25 available now.

The complete cast for JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR at The London Palladium has been announced, led by Sam Ryder as Jesus alongside Tyrone Huntley as Judas, with six performers rotating as King Herod.

Further casting has been announced for Jesus Christ Superstar at The London Palladium this summer. The cast will include Tyrone Huntley, Desmonda Cathabel, and David Thaxton.
