"The Sauk and Pigeon Creek are celebrating ten years of working together," said Sauk Executive Director, Trinity Bird. "We are so excited to be offering three unique shows during Riverfest. We truly have something for everyone."

The weekend will begin with "Buzzed Bard" on Friday, May 15 at 7:30 pm.

"'Buzzed Bard' is an evening of raucous, audience-interactive Shakespearean scenes and Shakespeare-themed improv," said Katherine Mayberry, Pigeon Creek's executive director. "The audience plays along with a Shakespearean drinking game as you encounter characters from favorite plays such as 'Romeo and Juliet' and 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'."

The events continue Saturday, May 16 with a performance of "Bottom's Dream" at 3pm in Jonesville's Wright Street Park.

"This show is an hour-long adaptation of 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' filled with fairy magic and a play-gone-wrong," Mayberry said.

The final presentation on Saturday, May 16 will be "Playhouse Creatures," a play by April De Angelis , at 7:30pm. The play tells the story of the first women professional actors in England. The play does contain some adult language and adult situations.

"These real historical women come to spirited life in a backstage dramedy that is both comedic and poignant," Mayberry added. "A five-person cast gives an intimate portrait of theatrical life."

Performances will take place at The Sauk Theatre located at 240 E. Chicago St. in Jonesville. Tickets can be purchased through The Sauk Theatre's website or by calling 517-849-9100. Tickets are also available in person starting one hour prior to showtime.
