Sony Music Expands Two Sides JV, Lucas Teuchner Advises on GSA Regional Strategy

Sony Music expands JV with German rap label Two Sides, as founder Lucas Teuchner takes on broader advisory role for the major in the GSA region

Sony Music Entertainment GSA  is expanding its joint-venture partnership with Two Sides , the Berlin-based hip-hop label and management company behind superstar rapper Apache 207 .

The expanded deal will see Two Sides Managing Director Lucas Teuchner take on a broader advisory role across Sony Music in the GSA region, with a focus on creative talent development and repertoire strategy.

The expanded partnership, announced on Tuesday (May 5), is aimed at strengthening Sony Music ‘s footprint in rap, pop, and hip-hop in the German-speaking market.

Two Sides was co-founded in 2017 by Teuchner and German rapper Bausa .

The company describes itself as having evolved from an independent label into a creative hub with national and international reach.

Its roster includes artists and labels such as Feder Musik (home to Apache 207 ), Achraf ‘s 6PM Records , the Bipolar imprint (home to Kane , badchieff , Sosa La M , YC and Marli ), as well as reezy , SIRA , Bausa , Levin , Miksu / Macloud , Helena , vinosh and Jenny Augusta .

Two Sides has been connected to Sony Music through a joint venture with Sony Music label Four Music since its early days, and has been distributed by Sony Music in the recorded music space.

Under the expanded partnership, Teuchner will continue as Managing Director of Two Sides while contributing his expertise and network across Sony Music GSA.

Sharon Alem , who joined Two Sides as Label Head in 2025 , will continue in that role alongside Teuchner .

Two Sides will also continue to operate as a management company, with Alexia Kafritsas serving as Head of Artist Management, tasked with expanding both music and non-music talent operations.

Two Sides and Four Music sit within the Columbia Label Group at Sony Music GSA , which was formed in October 2024 as part of a sweeping restructure of Sony Music’s GSA business led by Behm shortly after he was appointed CEO of the division.

The expanded Two Sides partnership is the latest in a series of moves by Sony Music to deepen its relationships with independent and joint-venture labels across Europe.

In February, Sony Music France acquired Paris-based indie label and publishing company Spookland , home to French singer-songwriter Jain , while in January, Sony Music Germany acquired Munich-based catalog label F.A.M.E. Recordings . Music Business Worldwide
