The clarinet, voice, and percussion trio will perform at Tenri Cultural Institute of New York

Sputter Box will celebrate eight years of performing and commissioning works for bass clarinet, voice, and percussion with its 8th Year Gala on May 30 at 7:30 p.m. The concert will take place at Tenri Cultural Institute of New York.

The evening will feature works commissioned by the ensemble over the past eight years alongside selections from Sputter Box’s recent touring repertoire. The program will also include a preview of a new work currently in development that is slated to premiere next season.

All tickets include admission, drinks, and light refreshments, with additional V.I.P. seating and merchandise raffle options available.

Proceeds from the event will support the ensemble’s fundraising campaign for its debut album, Snapshots and Serenades . According to the group, the recording is intended to highlight and expand the repertoire for clarinet or bass clarinet, soprano voice, and percussion trio, and will be the first full album devoted entirely to music written for that instrumentation.
