Syd Announces First Album in Four Years

Beard is out July 17 By Hattie Lindert May 29, 2026 Save this story Save this story

Syd ’s third album is on the way. Beard arrives on July 17 via Warner imprint Free Lunch Records, and features Raphael Saadiq , Big Sean , Rodney Jerkins, James Fauntleroy, Van Hunt, and Jordan Ward. The Internet co-founder also tapped Florida duo Blu June for a lead single, “Callin.” Check that out below.

Beard marks Syd’s first new album since 2022’s Broken Hearts Club . In a press statement, she said the album is, in part, inspired by something quite literal: the peach fuzz on her upper lip. “I fell in love with my peach fuzz and it made me rethink everything that was supposed to make me feel insecure,” she said. “The title also represents the way I see myself in relation to my peers, especially in music. ‘The bearded lady.’ Not so much a spectacle in my case, but an anomaly and an outlier. Hard to compare.”

In support of the record, Syd has also announced a brief fall tour through the UK and Europe, which kicks off with a show at London festival All Points East. Browse a full itinerary below.
