Olds-Sample concluded a run of more than 2,000 performances since the production’s Broadway premiere in December 2021, where he made his Broadway debut.

Directed and choreographed by two-time Tony Award winner Christopher Wheeldon , with a book written by two-time Pulitzer Prize? winner Lynn Nottage , MJ is the winner of four 2022 Tony Awards, including Best Choreography (Wheeldon).

Broadway's MJ the Musical performed with the Savannah Bananas at Yankee Stadium over the weekend. Broadway’s MJ, Matte Martinez, performed special walk-out rendition of “Billie Jean” with Bananas star Kyle “KJ” Jackson and break dancing first base coach, Mace Harrison. Watch the video!

Brandon Lee Harris, who originated the role of ‘Michael' in the First National Tour of the Tony Award-winning musical MJ, will return to Broadway and take over the role of ‘Michael' from original Broadway cast member Tavon Olds-Sample
