On Tuesday, June 10, Taylor Swift graced the Los Angeles premiere of Toy Story 5, treating an unsuspecting audience to a performance of her new song, "I Knew It, I Knew You." Swift penned the song for the new film with Jack Antonoff , which is a country-inspired look at the character of Jessie.

After her piano-driven performance, the pop icon welcomed longtime Toy Story composer Randy Newman to the stage, where the pair sang a duet rendition of the classic franchise tune, "You've Got a Friend in Me." The new movie arrives in theaters on June 19.

The single version of "I Knew It, I Knew You" is available now alongside a music video that features footage from the Disney/Pixar films. It will also be featured on the Toy Story 5 soundtrack when it releases on June 19.

“It’s incredible just how meaningful it’s been having Taylor write and perform this song," Toy Story 5 director and screenwriter Andrew Stanton said in a previous statement. "Her connection to Jessie and the immediate way she understood what the character was going through was undeniable."

The song officially dropped on Friday, June 5, following a series of “TS” billboards—a play on Toy Story and Taylor Swift ’s shared initials—that appeared in LA, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, Toronto, Mexico City and London.

In the new film, Woody (voice of Tom Hanks ), Buzz Lightyear (voice of Tim Allen ), Jessie (voice of Joan Cusack ), and the rest of the gang are challenged when they come face-to-face with the smart tablet Lilypad, voiced by Broadway alum Greta Lee . After the arrival of the new device, she begins to take over much of Bonnie's playtime, leaving the other toys in a pickle as they try to navigate how to stay relevant when technology enters the equation.

Toy Story 5 is directed by Andrew Stanton , co-directed by Kenna Harris, produced by Lindsey Collins, p.g.a., and written by Stanton and Harris from a story by Stanton. The film features an original score by Oscar-winning Randy Newman , who returns to score his fifth Toy Story feature.
