The Strokes Debut New Song, Revive Rares at Bonnaroo

At 11:00 p.m. on Friday, June 13th, The Strokes brought their Reality Awaits era to Bonnaroo 2026, taking to the What stage for an 18-song headlining set. For an about an hour and a half, the band ripped through fan favorites old and new, while Julian Casablancas crooned away and offered up some of his signature onstage banter.

Notably, the crew performed their new single, “Falling out of Love,” for the first time in full. Additionally, they opened with “Killing Lies,” a tune they haven’t pulled out in four years. Beyond that, they presented fans a taster of their whole catalog, with tracks from all seven of their studio albums (including the upcoming Reality Awaits ) making the setlist. Check out the full setlist from The Strokes’ Bonnaroo 2026 set below.

The group (specifically Casablancas) wasn’t slouching in the joke department either. During the first song, the frontman suddenly broke from the verse to quip, “Kill the fucking lights… kidding,” seemingly in reference to Kanye West’s comments at his April show in Los Angeles. Elsewhere, he made cracks about NFTs and bemoaned his past self for writing such high vocal parts (“What the fuck was I thinking!”). Watch clips of the show below.

Unlike their rousing appearance at Coachella, guitarist Nick Valensi did not perform, as the band previously announced that he would be taking a break from touring.

Earlier this week, The Strokes played a little game of “Good News Bad News” with fans. The good news was the announcement of a killer New York concert with Beach House and TV on the Radio set for October. The bad news was that they delayed the anticipated release of Reality Awaits by a month, with it now arriving on July 24th. (Pre-orders are still ongoing .) Guess the reality is that fans will have to keep a-waiting . Eh? Eh??

The Strokes also have a 2026 world tour on the books, with shows in cities like Chicago, Toronto, Philadelphia, and Boston, as well as Tokyo, London, Paris, Dublin, and more. Get tickets to one of their upcoming concerts here .
