Theatre Harrisburg has announced its Centennial Celebration. To mark 100 years of storytelling, the theatre will present a historic Act I and Act II weekend featuring a concert production of Stephen Sondheim 's FOLLIES in Concert followed by a black-tie Centennial Gala.

In a rare and monumental collaboration, Theatre Harrisburg will join forces with the Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Tony Award-Winning Maestro Stuart Malina , to present FOLLIES In Concert.

Staged at the historic Forum Auditorium on May 30 at 7:30 PM and May 31 at 2:00 PM, this production brings Sondheim's legendary score to life with a full symphony orchestra and a powerhouse cast of local and regional talent. FOLLIES—a show that explores themes of memory, legacy, and the ghosts of the past—serves as the perfect artistic centerpiece for a theatre celebrating its 100th year.

Immediately following the Sunday matinee on May 31 at 4:30 PM, the celebration moves to The Willows at Ashcombe Mansion for the Centennial Gala. This evening of festivities will honor the community that has sustained the theatre since its founding in 1926 as the Harrisburg Community Theatre.

The Gala will feature:

"Reaching 100 years is a testament to the passion and dedication of our Harrisburg community," said Alexandra Johnson, Marketing & Box Office Manager. "Partnering with the Harrisburg Symphony for FOLLIES allows us to celebrate our history on the grandest scale possible, while the Gala at Ashcombe Mansion gives us a chance to thank the people who have walked this journey with us."

In honor of the anniversary, Theatre Harrisburg has released a limited “100 for 100” block of seats, offering 100 tickets for $40 to ensure the community can take part in this historic moment. Tickets for both FOLLIES In Concert and the Centennial Gala are available now.
