Travis Bolt Debuts at Grand Ole Opry Ahead of CMA Fest and Summer Tour

Rising country singer-songwriter Travis Bolt made his Grand Ole Opry debut with a two-song set May 29, and he’s going to keep the momentum going with a show at CMA Fest followed by a run of concerts in intimate venues this summer.

The East Texas artist graced the Opry stage with his smash hit “Never Tried Cocaine,” which went viral on TikTok and has amassed more than 45 million streams across platforms.

“After a decade full of 2 a.m. honkytonk shows and barroom stages, I sure didn’t know what to expect stepping into that circle,” Bolt said about performing at the Opry, which is hallowed ground for country artists. “It was a surreal and humbling experience! Who would’ve thought a Phalba, Texas boy would be standing where legends once stood getting to sing the songs I’ve written about my life.”

It’s a major milestone for Bolt, and he’ll add another seminal moment to his career when he makes his CMA Fest performance debut June 4 at the free Dr. Pepper AMP Stage in Nashville.

What’s ahead for the artist is a 13-show run after his CMA Fest set supporting his full-length debut album Burning Bridges , which was released in March via Gravel Road and was produced by Jason Burt, who has worked with Leon Bridges, John Mayer and Paul Cauthen. Following CMA Fest, Bolt will perform June 6 at Eddie’s Attic in Decatur, and the routing for his summer tour includes stops at Zanzabar in Louisville, Off Broadway in St. Louis, Carol’s Pub in Chicago, Tulsa’s Mercury Lounge, Oklahoma City’s Beer City Music Hall and Antone’s in Austin. Bolt broke onto the music scene when he released “Never Tried Cocaine” independently, landing on playlists such as Spotify’s Fresh Finds. It led to him opening for Paul Cauthen at Ryman Auditorium as well as a European run at Country to Country Festival.
