Set in the New Mexico Territory in 1875, HIGH NOON unfolds in real time on the wedding day of Marshal Will Kane and Quaker pacifist Amy Fowler. Their celebration is shattered by news that Frank Miller —the outlaw Kane put away for murder—has been pardoned and is arriving on the noon train, bent on revenge. As the clock ticks toward noon, Kane desperately seeks help from the townspeople he's protected for seventeen years, but one by one they abandon him. Torn between duty and his new wife's beliefs, Kane must face his reckoning alone.
