The main event of UFC Freedom 250 unifies the lightweight belts when the champion Ilia Topuria takes on interim champ Justin Gaethje. Topuria returns to the octagon after a year-long absence for personal reasons, and he will defend his lightweight championship for the first time. Topuria, 29, is 17-0 as a professional and 9-0 in the UFC. During Topuria's absence, Gaethje, 37, upset Paddy Pimblett to win the interim title at UFC 324 in January. The co-main event of the UFC White House is for the interim heavyweight championship, as Tom Aspinall remains out with an eye injury. Gane, 36, is a former interim heavyweight champion and enters at 13-2 overall, including 10-2 in the UFC.
