UK Royal Mint Commemorates Pink Floyd with Dark Side of the Moon Coin
The UK Royal Mint has released an official commemorative coin featuring the iconic prism design from Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" album. It is available in several editions.

The UK Royal Mint has announced the first ever commemorative coin honoring Pink Floyd. The coin depicts The Dark Side of the Moon ‘s iconic rainbow prism cover, with King Charles III’s face on the flip side.
The coin comes in several editions ranging from a basic £5 coin retailing for £18.50 ($25 US) to a 1 ounce gold proof version selling for £5,320 ($7,183 US). A limited edition of the coin features a full-color printing of the iconic cover with a rainbow prism effect.

Director of Commemorative Coins for the Royal Mint Rebecca Morgan stated, “Pink Floyd are one of those truly rare bands whose music and imagery have transcended generations and the moment you see this coin, you know exactly who it celebrates.”
