Violet Grohl Adds Second London Show Due to Popular Demand

Violet Grohl has announced an extra headline show in London for her upcoming tour due to high demand.

The Los Angeles-based musician and daughter of  Foo Fighters  frontman  Dave Grohl released her debut solo album ‘ Be Sweet To Me ’ last week (May 29) via Aurora Records, including the singles ‘ THUM ’, ‘ Applefish ’, ‘ 595 ’ and ‘ Cool Buzz ’.

In April, she announced a string of headline US, UK and European headline tour dates, including a show in London’s Camden Assembly, but now she has confirmed she will play two dates at the venue due to outstanding demand.

Her UK dates will now kick off in Manchester’s Deaf Institute on August 25, followed by Glasgow’s King Tuts the following night, and two nights at the Camdem Assembly on September 1 and 2.

While in Europe, she also plays shows in Berlin, Cologne and Paris, and will also make appearances at  Reading and Leeds Festivals , Electric Picnic in Ireland and Pukkelpop in Belgium.

Grohl said earlier this year that  she didn’t like male musicians her age .

“I don’t like male musicians my age – I don’t care,” she said. “They have attitude problems. They’ve been saying this about us for so fucking long – it’s time that they sit down, be quiet and play their music.

“The best advice I’ve been given is that it’s OK to say no or that you don’t want to do something,” she continued. “For a lot of women, it took them a really long time to accept and implement that into their lives. It’s inspiring to be around the kinds of people who don’t give a fuck and will say whatever they feel.”

Meanwhile, father Dave Grohl revealed several months ago that  he had “no idea” Violet had signed a record deal until she told him at dinner .
