Wishy to release 'Nature's Pill' album, drops upbeat single 'Lovesick'

Wishy have announced their new album ‘Nature’s Pill’ with the uplifting single ‘Lovesick’ and details of a US tour.

The upcoming album will be the second from the former NME Cover stars , and is set for release on October 2 via Winspear – you can visit here to pre-order.

The release comes following the Indiana indie rockers breaking into the scene in 2023 with their debut EP ‘Paradise’, and following it up with their first album ‘Triple Seven’ the following year, and EP ‘Planet Popstar’ in 2025.

As well as announcing the sophomore record, Wishy have also dropped the upbeat lead single ‘Lovesick’ as the first taster of the new LP, and it comes with swooning vocal melodies and ethereal instrumentation that makes nods to The Cure .

Discussing the inspiration behind the track, singer Nina Pitchkites explained that there was “not much more that needs to be said about yearning in 2026, but here it is anyway.”

“Kevin [Krauter] and I are stupidly romantic people who like twee pop so that combination alone was a recipe for a cheeky ‘main character’ song,” Pitchkites added. “We really leaned into the overzealous lyrics here because we’re allowed, [we] can do whatever we want and it’s fun.”

As for the record itself, ‘Nature’s Pill’ sees Wishy leaning into the chaos of the world around them and defiantly opting to continue putting forward their signature blend on captivating indie rock even when times get tough.

“Being in an indie band feels bizarre when the world is on fire,” Krauter said. “What can you do at the end of the day other than carve out some space – at the very least I have my imagination and I can invite others to join me there. At a certain point you need to say fuck it and roll with it.”

Later this year Wishy are set to embark on a US tour, and will be joined by Beach Bunny , The Beths and Ratboys at selected dates.

Shows kick off at the House Of Blues in Cleveland on July 25, and include shows in Indianapolis, St. Louis, Santa Ana, Portland, Seattle, Boston, Nashville, Chicago and more over the following three months.

Speaking to NME for their time on The Cover in 2024 , Wishy explained the driving force behind their songwriting, with Pitchkites telling us: “I want to write music that I want to listen to.”

“A lot of music snobs have things to say about bands that just write hooks – I guess some people would say it’s predictable or something. But I don’t care. I want to hear a good hook. That’s it. It’s pretty simple,” the singer and guitarist said.
