Woman in Motion celebrates its 5th season with The 5th Movement, an intimate evening of dance honoring the individuality of each artist. The program brings together a wide range of styles and movement vocabularies, each piece elevating a distinct artistic voice.

The shows will take place June 13th - June 15th at 7:00pm at The Citigroup Theater at The Ailey Studios.

The 5th Movement captures the accumulated trust, growth, and humanity of artists that have spent four years learning how to move as one. Season five is both a celebration and a testament to what becomes possible when individual expression and collective vision share the same stage.

Featured in this performance are choreographic works by Jillian Davis, Katie Drablos, Laura Kaufman, Alexandra Light, Lauren Lovette, Skye Mattox , Mandie Rapoza , Chloe Roberts, and Ellenore Scott . The show will also include video elements filmed by Grace Copeland and Jacob Hiss.

Woman in Motion's ten extraordinary dancers bring incredible heart, technique, and artistry that will leave audiences deeply moved. Co-Directors, Laura Katherine Kaufman and Rachel Thalman, will be dancing alongside Emily Cardea, Taylor Habershaw, Mary Kate Hartung, Mae Mara, Colby Marie, Mallory Pettee, Austin Sora , and Dana Tagliaferro.

Established in 2022, Woman in Motion is a multifaceted dance company with both jazz and balletic elements that provides a space where individuality is celebrated. WIM bridges the gap between the concert dance and musical theater worlds by producing shows that feature original dance works in a variety of styles that inspire artists and art seekers alike.
