The award-winning Young People's Chorus of New York City (YPC) has announced an exciting lineup of spring and summer events, including several performances celebrating America's 250th anniversary, international tours, festival appearances, and more.

“This season reflects the extraordinary artistry and spirit of our young people,” said YPC Founder and Artistic Director Francisco J. Núñez. “Spring and summer are a time of renewal and possibility, and our singers embody that energy in every performance - sharing joy, hope, and a sense of unity. We can't wait to share these performances with audiences around the world.”

YPC presents a joyful morning performance as choristers sing in the spring at the Harlem Rose Garden . The concert features songs from a wide range of traditions, all in celebration of sunshine, friendship, and fun. A bake sale follows, with proceeds benefitting YPC and the Harlem Rose Garden .

YPC's Annual Spring Celebration Concert returns to the United Palace, bringing together more than 600 young artists from across New York City for one of the organization's most beloved traditions. This year's program honors America's 250th anniversary with a vibrant range of repertoire spanning classical masterworks, contemporary works, pop, jazz, and gospel.

Under the leadership of YPC Founder and Artistic Director Francisco J. Núñez, Creative Director Elizabeth Núñez, and YPC's acclaimed conductors Ahra Cho, Caitlin Henning, Maria Peña, and Emma Sway, the evening blooms with the artistry, dedication, and spirit of YPC's award-winning choristers, capturing both the richness of the nation's musical heritage and the joy and energy of spring in a breathtaking choral performance. Celebrate the vibrant sound of a nation when over 1,000 children from all five boroughs of New York City public schools unite to present I Hear America Singing. This joyful concert honors America's 250th anniversary with a dynamic program exploring the country's rich music traditions, from jazz to musical theater, gospel, and more.

Led by YPC Creative Director Elizabeth Nūñez and Director of School Choruses Program Caitlin Henning, YPC's School Choruses Concert is the culminating event of YPC's annual Choruses Program, an in-school music education and performance initiative created to bring YPC's award-winning approach to students across New York City. YPC returns to Colorado's annual Sing A Mile High International Children's Choral Festival, joining choirs from all over the country. Members of YPC partake in five days of rehearsals, workshops, and social activities that culminate in a public performance at the Bunker Auditorium at the Colorado School of Mines with individual and massed choir performances.

YPC performs a free outdoor concert in front of The New York Public Library's Stephen A. Schwarzman Building to mark the beginning of the library's week-long display of its original copy of the Declaration of Independence, penned by Thomas Jefferson , in honor of the 250th birthday of the United States.

YPC travels to the UK this July to compete in the renowned International Eisteddfod in Llangollen in Wales, July 8–12, presenting a program that spans contemporary works, folk traditions, spirituals, gospel, and Broadway. One of the world's most inspirational cultural festivals, the event brings together thousands of performers from around the world to sing and dance in a unique and joyful combination of competition, performance, and international peace and friendship. Ahead of the competition, YPC will tour London from July 5–7, bringing its vibrant performances to audiences across the city.

Festival Napa Valley , voted the #4 Best Music Festival in the United States by USA Today readers, celebrates its 20th Summer Season at venues throughout Napa Valley on July 4-19, 2026. YPC performs with Grammy-winning trio Time for Three in Uytengsu Family Opening Night: From Beethoven to Getty to Dylan and headlines a Novack Concert for Kids event. Francisco J. Núñez presents Music as Access - The YPC Model at the Festival's Music & Wellness Summit , exploring the powerful connection between music, brain science, and wellness. YPC performs in the New York premiere of The Only Way is Through by GRAMMY award-winning composer Christopher Cerrone, collaborating with Sandbox Percussion. In this immersive outdoor work, Sandbox Percussion constructs their instruments from raw materials, loose wooden bars, bells, and pipes, while YPC moves among the musicians, reflecting a vocal journey from wordless sounds to fully formed language. Inspired by Robert Frost 's poetry, the piece traces the human journey of learning to exist in the world, inviting the audience to explore and experience the unfolding music throughout the Sunken Garden. YPC National, the nationwide choral organization modeled after the award-winning YPC, presents its 2026 summer choral intensive from July 22- 25.

The YPC National Summer Intensive: Conductor Studio is a professional development program designed for educators, as well as choral conductors, and university-level music students looking to refine their craft. Participants will engage in masterclasses, hands-on workshops, and live performance opportunities, including conducting the National Lab Chorus featuring singers from the Young People's Chorus of New York City and Barcelona's Veus – Cor Infantil Amics de la Unió. The YPC National Chorister Lab is a four-day summer choral intensive for singers ages 8-18. Bringing together choristers from across the country, the program invites young singers to collaborate with members of the Young People's Chorus of New York City and learn directly from Francisco J.
