15 New Songs Released Today: The Field, Underworld x KI/KI, Nick Hakim, and More

So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out . We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.

THE FIELD – NOW YOU EXIST

Axel Willner is back with his first new music as The Field in eight years, a five-track 41-minute record of hypnotic, not un-danceable, electronic compositions.

TYLER CHILDERS & SENORA MAY – “PLANTING BY THE SIGNS” (S.G. GOODMAN COVER)

Tyler Childers has covered S.G. Goodman’s “Space and Time” live on numerous occasions, and now he’s done a new rendition of the title track of her fantastic 2025 album for the new deluxe edition, (Re) Planting by the Signs . It’s with his wife, Senora May, and Goodman says, “Senora was one of the first people I spoke with about writing an album around the beliefs of Planting by the Signs . It turns out her father, who farms, has practiced the old belief her whole life.”

NICK HAKIM – “REAL HERE NOW” & “WATER”

Nick Hakim is back with two new songs: spacey piano R&B ballad “Real Here Now,” and airy instrumental, “Water.”

GRACIE ABRAMS – “HIT THE WALL”

Gracie Abrams announced her third album, Daughter from Hell , due out July 17 via Interscope. She made it with her longtime collaborator Aaron Dessner of The National, and the first single is “Hit the Wall.”

UNDERWORLD AND KI/KI – “ARP12”

Electronic vets Underworld and Dutch techno-trance innovator KI/KI have teamed up for this high-energy, ethereal, 145bpm banger.

VOIVOD – “THE END OF DORMANCY (SYMPHONIQUE)”

Sci-fi psych-prog thrashers Voivod are releasing a new live album with the Quebec Symphony Orchestra, Symphonique , due out June 5 via Century Media, and they’ve given us a preview with the orchestral version of “The End of Dormancy” off their 2018 album The Wake .

IBEYI – “ASET”

French-Cuban twin duo Ibeyi announced their first new album in four years, Offering , due out June 26 via Ibeyi Records/AWAL. The first single “Aset” is inspired by the mythology of Isis and Osiris.

BOYS NOIZE – “SHUT IT DOWN” (FT. TAICHU)

DJ, producer and Nine Inch Nails collaborator Boys Noize is back with this sassy new single featuring Argentinian singer-rapper Taichu. Pretty cool.

BLADEE – “BLONDIE”

Enigmatic Swedish artist Bladee announced a new album, Sulfur Surfer , due out May 20 via Trash Island. It was produced by fellow Drain Gang member Whitearmor, and the first single “Blondie.”

RIVKAH REYES – “MISS CONGENIALITY”

Rivkah Reyes ( School of Rock , etc) calls their new single “Miss Congeniality” “bratty, high-energy alt-pop with crunchy guitars and a bit of indie sleaze, polished on the surface but kind of unraveling underneath,” adding, “It lives in that space between sweet and frustrated, like I’m holding it together but barely.”

PETE FIJ (ADORABLE) – “DON’T BRING ME SUNSHINE”

Former Adorable frontman Pete Fij will release new solo album Up’s The New Down on September 4 and here’s an early preview. “This was written as an anti love song,” Pete says, “though musically I wanted to juxtapose it’s ‘bah-humbug’ lyrics with the joyous feeling of the exhilaration of driving fast (though always within the speed limit of course) with the windows wide open, the rush of wind in your hair, and your best friend sitting next to you. Who needs love when you’ve a got a full tank of petrol, the stereo cranked up to full and the whole of Summer lying ahead on the heat-hazed open road?”

MORMOR – “LIKE HEAVEN” (FT. CELESTE)

MorMor begins a “new chapter” with his new single, “Like Heaven,” which features Celeste.

KATIE PRUITT – “SAME BOAT”

“’Same Boat’ is about how the top 1% keeps getting richer while the rest of us remain divided,” Katie Pruitt says of her new single. “Regardless of political party, 75% of Americans are still living paycheck to paycheck. As long as we keep blaming each other, no one at the top is being held accountable. If we really are sinking in the same boat, we’ve got to learn how to get on the same page.”

ANTHRAX – “IT’S FOR THE KIDS”

Anthrax have unveiled their first new song in a decade, and you can read more about it here .
