Brooklyn Storehouse to Close for Climate Infrastructure Development

After opening in 2024 , Brooklyn Storehouse , a venue at Brooklyn Navy Yards, is shutting down. A message from them on social media reads:

> Brooklyn Storehouse was conceived as a meanwhile project – a temporary activation of a site within the Brooklyn Navy Yard during a period of transition. Our tenancy was always time-limited, and BNYDC has now confirmed its plans for the site, which will see it repurposed for climate infrastructure and clean energy production in line with the Yard’s mission. This is part of the nature of working with adaptive, found spaces, where tenancies are often inherently temporary. We’re proud of what we built there, and our final shows – culminating in a Halloween weekend closing event. We’re grateful to BNYDC for the opportunity and to everyone who made Brooklyn Storehouse what it was.

That Halloween weekend event is still to be announced, but other upcoming shows at the venue include the We Belong Here Official After Party with Kx5 ( Kaskade and deadmau5 ), Luke Alexander and Benjamin Lloyd ( June 19 ); Beltran ( June 20 ); Max Dean b2b Luke Dean ( July 24 ); Black Tiger Sex Machine, Alyssa Jolee, A Hundred Drums b2b Zen Selekta , and more TBA ( August 22 ); Teletech New York with Restricted and more TBA ( September 6 ); and Four Tet ( September 17 ).
