156/Silence Announce New Album ‘From a Distance’ With First Single and Exclusive Vinyl

Pittsburgh metalcore band 156/Silence released their first single for Pure Noise, Our Parting Ways,” back in October, and now they’ve announced their first album for the label. From a Distance , their sixth LP and the follow-up to 2024’s People Watching , is due out on September 4. It was produced by Josh Schroeder, and features guest appearances from Tony Castrati of Crippling Alcoholism , Mike Hranica of The Devil Wears Prada , and Alex Read of Make Them Suffer . See the cover art and tracklist below.

We have an exclusive “copper black ice shimmer blend” vinyl variant of From a Distance , limited to 250 copies and available for pre-order in the BV shop .

The first single is “No Arms,” which they say is “about being without a way to protect yourself and what belongs to you. Being alone and afraid, not having any means to control the situations that befall on us. The overwhelming feeling of being helpless until we’re not. Until somebody saves us.” Watch the video, directed by Errick Easterday, below.

156/Silence are currently on tour with Thornhill, Fox Lake , and Vianova , and have headlining shows, festival dates, and a run with Chiodos, sace6 , and Calva Louise coming up. They’ll be in NYC on May 20 at Webster Hall with Thornhill, Fox Lake, and Vianova. See all dates below.
