Apple Martin, daughter of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, to debut in Nancy Meyers film

Apple Martin, the daughter of Coldplay’s Chris Martin and Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow , will make her film debut in a new movie by director Nancy Meyers.

Meyers shot to fame thanks to comedies such as The Parent Trap with Lindsay Lohan , The Holiday , and the Father Of The Bride franchise. Known for her humorous dialogue and focus on the female perspective, as a writer she was nominated for an Oscar for Goldie Hawn comedy Private Benjamin . The new production, which is currently untitled, will be her first film since 2015’s The Intern .

According to a report from Deadline , the film will star Penélope Cruz , Kieran Culkin, Erin Doherty, Jude Law , and Owen Wilson , and is slated for release on Christmas Day 2027. Tony Hale, known as the voice of Forky in the Toy Story films, and Beverly D’Angelo, star of the National Lampoon’s Vacation comedies, were added to the cast alongside Martin.

The film was previously called Paris Paramount , and described by Meyers in a 2023 Instagram post as being about “a group of people making a film and the magic and mystery of what we do.” She recently shared a picture of a director’s chair with her name on it, with the caption: “so close to starting.”

22-year-old Martin will make her film acting debut in the project, having primarily worked as a model for various fashion brands such as Chanel. On TV, she appeared in her mother’s show The Goop Lab  on Netflix, while in music she is credited as a co-songwriter on the Coldplay song ‘Let Somebody Go’ from their 2021 album ‘Music Of The Spheres’.

Last October, Apple Martin was filmed singing live at Cannery Hall in Nashville alongside musical duo Jade Street. She also provided vocals for their single ‘Satellites’, which was shared by the act on their official Instagram page.
