Apple TV+ "Cape Fear" 2026 Soundtrack: Every Song Revealed

The new TV adaptation of  Cape Fear   has premiered on  Apple TV , but what songs feature? Find out below.

Javier Bardem  stars as Max Cady in the latest version of the classic psychological thriller story, based on the 1957 novel  The Executioners  by John D. MacDonald.

Cady is a vicious and unreformed ex-convict, who is released from prison and sets about seeking revenge on Tom and Anna Bowden (Patrick Wilson and  Amy Adams ), the couple who represented him 17 years earlier in court.

Cape Fear  has been made into two acclaimed films: the first in 1962 directed by J. Lee Thompson and starring Gregory Peck and Robert Mitchum, and the second in 1991 directed by  Martin Scorsese  and starring  Robert De Niro  and Nick Nolte.

It comes from showrunner Nick Antosca, previously known for  Channel Zero  and  A Friend Of The Family , and it also stars Lily Collins, Joe Anders and CCH Pounder.

The first two episodes debuted on Apple TV on June 5, with the remaining eight arriving on a weekly basis until the finale on July 31.

NME  has given the show a three-star review , noting: “This take on  Cape Fear  sticks closely to the source material (John D. MacDonald’s 1957 novel  The Executioners ) but the melodramatic orchestral swells that underscore the more emotional moments strike a strange note. It’s also impossible not to compare Collins’ level-headed Natalie to the more eccentric version of the character  Juliette Lewis  played in the 1991 film. Still,  Cape Fear 2026 is a simmering, star-filled, slow burn – a watchable addition to the ‘Rich People Being Awful’ canon.”

The show includes an original score from composer Jeff Russo, former member of the bands Tonic and Low Stars. He has previously worked on shows including  Fargo ,  Alien: Earth   and multiple  Star Trek   series.

There have also been a select few needle drop moments in the episodes so far, including from  The Cranberries  and  Waxahatchee . The full list to date is:
