Billboard ‘s R&B Hip-Hop Live show took over Brooklyn Steel on Thursday night (Sept. 10), featuring a versatile lineup filled with a mix of R&B, hip-hop and Caribbean vibes.

Skippa, who is Billboard ‘s first-ever Caribbean Rising Star, kicked the night off, bringing his blend of trap-dancehall anthems to the stage, including “WYFL” as well as other standouts from his #Skippaholic project.

Samara Cyn batted second in the order, and she proved that there’s no need for a backing track to accompany her performances, which has become a rarity for Gen Z’s rap class. Cyn previewed new music, slowed down the pace for her “crashout” era and had the fans turning up when she closed out her set with the rowdy “oooshxt!”

R&B shined in the middle portion of the concert, with kwn earning the loudest pop from the crowd of the entire night when she hit the stage. The British singer has enjoyed a meteoric rise in 2026 and she leaned on catalog standouts such as “Do What I Say” and “Worst Behaviour.”

Billboard ‘s 2026 R&B Rising Star Destin Conrad kept the R&B party going while jumping around from his 2026 projects Roadrunner and Whimsy! , but made sure to work in his fan-favorite Kehlani collaboration “Bad Bitches.”

Yung Miami caught a scorching hit with “Spend Dat” and a legit song of the summer candidate, which reached the Billboard Hot 100’s top 20. The former City Girls rapper’s scam rap anthem notched the best sing-along of the night with her earworm of a chorus.

Lucky Daye closed out the show in intimate fashion with his sultry mix of R&B and funk, while gearing up for his next era on the horizon.
