Céline Dion Returns to Paris Stage for First Concert in Six Years
Céline Dion performed her first concert in six years at Paris' La Défense Arena on Saturday, marking her return since a 2022 stiff-person syndrome diagnosis. Her setlist and videos from the show are available.

Céline Dion has officially returned to the stage. The singer performed her first concert in over six years — and her first since being diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome in 2022 — at Paris’ La Défense Arena on Saturday, September 12th.
Serving as the beginning of Dion’s Paris residency, the show spanned four acts along with a four-song encore, moving between her French- and English-language catalogs across 26 songs. She worked in three live debuts — “The Chase,” “Dansons,” and “Je chanterai” — plus the first full performance of “Ne bouge pas” since 2003 and the first live rendition “Les derniers seront les premiers” since 2009. Dion began the evening with the French-language “On ne change pas,” appearing visibly emotional as she wiped away tears while receiving a thunderous standing ovation from a sold-out crowd of more than 30,000 fans. She continued with “Encore un soir,” “Tout l’or des hommes,” “Because You Loved Me,” and Jennifer Rush’s “The Power of Love.”

For set two, she kicked off with the one-two punch of “My Heart Will Go On” and “Beauty and the Beast,” before delivering a genre-spanning medley that moved from Donna Summer’s “I Feel Love” into “I’m Alive,” “That’s the Way It Is,” and “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This).”
The final stretch of the main set saw Dion revisit “Courage,” “Love Can Move Mountains,” “The Prayer,” and “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now” before delivering an operatic performance of Catalani’s “Ebben? Ne andrò lontana.” She returned for an encore featuring “All by Myself,” “Pour que tu m’aimes encore,” and “S’il suffisait d’aimer,” closing the night with “Des milliers de baisers.” See her full setlist below.

Prior to the residency’s announcement in March of this year, the future of Dion’s live performance capabilities remained in doubt. Back in December 2022, Dion was diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome; the neurological condition, which causes progressive stiffness of muscles in the torso, arms, and legs, had impacted her ability to move, let alone perform on stage.

“This year, I’m getting the best birthday gift of my life,” Dion said in a video message back in March. “I’m getting the chance to see you, to perform for you once again in Paris, beginning in September! I’m feeling good, I’m strong, I’m feeling excited, obviously a little nervous, but most of all, I’m grateful to all of you!”
Dion will return to La Défense Arena on Wednesday, September 16th for her second of 10 shows, followed by performances on September 19th, 23rd, 26th, 30th, October 3rd, 7th, 10th, and 14th. See her full list of dates below, and get tickets here .
