Clint Eastwood’s Son Suggests “Juror No. 2” May Be Actor-Director’s Final Film

When Clint Eastwood ’s Juror No. 2 came out in 2024, it felt like the end of an era for the kinds of movies Eastwood made over the course of his decades-long career. And it appears that that film may be his last. In a November 2025 interview with the French publication France Info , his son Kyle Eastwood revealed that his father has retired from film work (translation via Google Translate):

“I have many fond memories of working with him. Now he’s retired, he’s 95 years old. But I was very lucky to be able to work with him on quite a few films,” Kyle Eastwood observes. “It was a great experience for me.”

Eastwood turned 96 on May 31st, 2026 with 40 films as director to his credit, including Oscar Best Picture winners Unforgiven and Million Dollar Baby (both of which also won him the prize of Best Director). In 2025, a “phony” (Eastwood’s words) interview circulated claiming that he was not yet done directing, but despite rumors that he’s in pre-production for one last film, news on that front has been minimal.
