La Mama Experimental Theatre Club will present COFFEEHOUSE CHRONICLES #183 — AN AFTERNOON WITH Agosto Machado on Saturday, May 30 at 3 p.m. at the Ellen Stewart Theatre.

The event will feature rarely seen excerpts and archival images from productions associated with Agosto Machado , with a focus on work from the 1970s. The program will also include a specially edited audio interview conducted by Sarah Tolen Mee for The Actors Fund.
Featured clips will include selections from Jackie Curtis' Vain Victory (1971), Persia, a Desert Cheapie by John Vaccaro and Bernard Roth (1972), Pushover by Jeff Weiss (1973), Magic Show of Dr. Ma-Gico by Kenneth Bernard (1973), The Kitty Glitter Story by Stephen Holt (1974), and John Jesurun 's Chang in a Void Moon Ep. 67 (2019).
The afternoon will also feature a surprise live guest performance.
Coffeehouse Chronicles is curated by Michal Gamily.
The event will take place at the Ellen Stewart Theatre at La Mama Experimental Theatre Club . Pay-what-you-can tickets begin at $10, with free admission for La MaMa members. Due to popular demand, the event will also be livestreamed worldwide, with free reservations available through RSVP.
