Country Singer Alexis Wilkins, Girlfriend of Kash Patel, to Perform at Great American State Fair

The Great American State Fair seemingly became an afterthought after most of its booked acts bailed over the politicization of the event, a concern that was only validated when Donald Trump promptly sought to replace the canceled performers by announcing a MAGA rally . However, organizers have added one new artist to the bill: Alexis Wilkins, the aspiring country singer who also happens to be dating FBI Director Kash Patel, is set to perform at The Great American State Fair later today.

Wilkins announced her participation late Tuesday night, writing on X that it was “great honor to be a part of the 250th birthday of this great nation.” When several people in the replies questioned whether her relationship to Patel led to the gig, she quickly went on the defensive.

“Let’s just get a few things straight, because this is long overdue,” she wrote in a follow-up post to X.

Wilkins averages 5,863 monthly Spotify listeners, which is 3,704,798 average monthly listeners less than fellow Great American State Fair performer Vanilla Ice, who hasn’t had a hit in 36 years and still logs 3,710,661 average listeners a month, and some 35,000 average monthly listeners below Hatebeak, a Baltimore death metal band whose lead vocalist is a literal African Grey parrot named Waldo.

Nonetheless, Wilkins maintains she “been a country music artist for years now. I have had a successful career in both music and commentary/strategy. People don’t get to negate that for clicks or headlines.”

“I was invited to sing this anthem on my own accord, as I have been many other places throughout my career,” she went on to claim.

Wilkins also said she “not accepting payment for this great honor.” She also felt the need to point out that “The Freedom250 entire celebration is on a fundraising arm; neither UFC nor any National Mall celebrations are ‘taxpayer funded.’ What she didn’t mention is that Freedom250 was created specifically by Donald Trump and is separate from America250, the nonpartisan organization established by Congress to help plan events celebrating America’s 250th birthday. The latter organization recently announced its first event: a July 4th concert featuring Smashing Pumpkins and Chris Stapleton.

“I’m no longer accepting false narratives and total sham accusations that diminish my hard work and earned accomplishments, so please expect this kind of response to continue,” Wilkins wrote to close her remarks.
