Dante Melucci (Anxious) Drops Debut EP as The Aether Mod
Though still Melucci at the helm, The Aether Mod explores new stylistic territory, setting it apart from his work in Anxious.

If you’re a fan of Anxious , then you should definitely check out Anxious guitarist/co-vocalist Dante Melucci’s newer project The Aether Mod ( a Minecraft reference ), which just dropped its three-song debut EP Teeth So Dazzling . Dante’s vocals on this EP should be very familiar to Anxious fans, but stylistically The Aether Mod is in noticeably different territory. It’s got the heaviest riffs Dante’s written this side of Anxious’ 2019 Never Better EP, with parts that remind me at various times of Hum, Torche, Sunny Day Real Estate, and just a hint of white-belt metalcore, but it also has the soaring, tuneful melodies that gives Anxious its tuneful side. It’s a short EP and I don’t know how active The Aether Mod will be able to be given Anxious’ busy touring plans with Citizen this year, but these songs hit just as hard as Dante’s main band. Check it out below.
