Syracuse Stage will present the Central New York professional premiere of “Disney's Frozen The Broadway Musical.” Directed by Emily Maltby , with choreography by Marjorie Failoni and musical direction by Brian Cimmet , “Frozen” is a co-production with the Syracuse University Department of Drama and runs May 13 through June 21, 2026, in the Archbold Theatre at Syracuse Stage , 820 E. Genesee St., Syracuse, N.Y.

Join Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven as they brave Elsa's wintry storm in a thrilling live theatrical event, filled with timeless adventure, daring magic, heartfelt humor and all the stirring songs from the original film, including “Do You Want to Build a Snowman,” “For the First Time in Forever,” “Love is an Open Door” and the Oscar- and Grammy award-winning “Let It Go.”

“This new, live theatrical production of the Disney classic is created especially for audiences of all ages here in Central New York,” said Artistic Director Robert Hupp. “We're pulling out all the stops as we invite everyone to experience this thrilling production. Yes, the kids will love it, but so will the adults. From happy hour to trivia night, we're leaning into the one-of-a-kind experience you can't get anywhere else.”

The cast of “Disney's Frozen The Broadway Musical” includes Lyda Jade Harlan* as Elsa, Tanner Cox as Anna, Koray Tarhan * (Broadway: “Merrily We Roll Along”) as Kristoff, Brendan Malafronte * as Olaf, Matthew J. Dodaro as Hans, David Lowenstein * (Broadway: “Seussical,” “1776”) as Wesleton, Peter Surace * as Oaken, Beau Harmon * (TV: “So You Think You Can Dance”) as Pabbie and Jack Wyant as Sven.

The creative team includes Czerton Lim (scenic designer), Ryan J. Moller ( Costume Designer ), Dawn Chiang (lighting designer), Jacqui Herter (sound designer), David Murakami (projections designer) and Bobbie Zlotnik (wig designer). The production stage manager is E Sara Barnes * and the stage manager is Giles T. Horne *.

Performances of “Disney's Frozen The Broadway Musical” have varied, family-friendly start times, including 6 and 7 p.m. evening shows and matinees beginning at noon and 1 p.m. A full performance schedule can be found at SyracuseStage.org. M&T Bank Pay-What-You-Will performances for “Disney's Frozen The Broadway Musical” are May 13 – 17 inclusive; Prologue conversations, three pre-show discussions that take place one-hour before curtain, on May 17, 23 and 28; the Post-show Talkback will take place on Sunday, May 24 after the 7 p.m. performance. A family-friendly arts and crafts event will be held before the 7 p.m. performance on Friday, May 22.

Syracuse Stage has its open-captioned performances scheduled for May 30 at 7 p.m., June 3 at 2 p.m. and June 6 at 1 p.m., as well as an audio-described performance on Saturday, May 30 at 2 p.m. The Sensory Friendly performance, providing a welcoming environment that lets all patrons enjoy themselves freely without judgment or inhibition, will be held on June 6 at 1 p.m. Assisted listening devices are available at all performances.

Syracuse Stage will host “Happy Hour,” a pre-show event with discounted beverages and complimentary light fare, on May 21 beginning at 6 p.m. “Trivia Night,” a friendly competition hosted by “Jeopardy!” champion Dillon Hupp, will be held on Tuesday, June 9 at 5:30 p.m. Complimentary tacos will be served. Tickets for the 7 p.m. performance are required to participate. Preregistration at Syracusestage.org is recommended.

Disney’s Frozen The Broadway Musical features music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez , with a book by Jennifer Lee . The musical is based on the Disney animated film written by Lee and directed by Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck . The production was originally produced on Broadway by Disney Theatrical Productions .

The production is directed by Emily Maltby , with music direction by Brian Cimmet and choreography by Marjorie Failoni . Scenic design is by Czerton Lim, costume design by Ryan J. Moller, lighting design by Dawn Chiang , sound design by Jacqui Herter , and wig design by Bobbie Zlotnik . E Sara Barnes serves as Production Stage Manager, joined by Stage Manager Giles T. Horne .

The production is co-produced with the Syracuse University Department of Drama.

Young Anna is played by Brynn Eisenman and Aurora Wantuch, while Young Elsa is portrayed by Aleena Dueñas and Maddie Kandel. Additional cast members include Kai An Chee as Queen Iduna, Michael Everett as King Agnarr, and Glendaliris Torres Greaux as Bulda.

The ensemble features Andrej Alexander, Teddy Brendel, Carolyn Burch, Jude Chong, Peter Dessert, Andrea Dotto , Connor English, Amelia Gallagher, Erica Marie Harrison, Gabby Samuels, Sophie Snider, Parker Syler, Chloe Thompson, Katie Wood, and Justin Xavier.

Pit Singers and Swings include Reed Grayner, Carsten Kjaerulff, Sienna Mello , Robbie Mosley, and Bridgette Sanders.

Understudy assignments include Andrej Alexander for Hans; Teddy Brendel for Sven; Carolyn Burch for Elsa; Jude Chong and Peter Dessert for Kristoff; Andrea Dotto for Olaf; Connor English for Oaken; Michael Everett for Pabbie; Reed Grayner for Hans; Carsten Kjaerulff for Weselton and Olaf; Sienna Mello for Elsa, Queen Iduna, and Bulda; Robbie Mosley for King Agnarr; and Gabby Samuels and Sophie Snider for Anna.

Michael Everett serves as Dance and Fight Captain, with Mallika Jain Cadin as Assistant Dance Captain. Josephine Yang is the rehearsal pianist, Donnie Woodard is Associate Scenic Designer, and Dylinn Andrew serves as Assistant Wig Designer and Wardrobe & Wig Supervisor.

Additional creative team members include Erica Murphy as Intimacy Consultant, Brendan Malafronte as Puppet Consultant, and Celia Madeoy as Vocal Coach.

Student Assistant Directors are Ella Femino and Amanda Podhurst, with Natalie Haras serving as Student Dramaturg and Lucia Caridad Soto as Student Assistant Choreographer.

The stage management team includes Erin C Brett as Stage Management Assistant and Maisey O'Brien and Nikky Spencer as Stage Management Interns. Annarae Martin serves as Young Actor Supervisor.

Technical staff includes Kat Larrabee as Electrician/Board Operator, Garrett Frink as Sound Engineer/Board Operator, and Kevin O'Connor as Assistant Audio Engineer. Spotlight operators are Basil Allen and Chris Green .

Deck and rail crew members include Edmund Beese, Dylan Finnley, Antoinette Garner, Grace Mineiro, Caitlin Radziewski, Sarah Schwartz, and Fatima Yasmin. Dressers include Khayman Clancey, Megan Hillenbrand, Bella Molino, Clara Permuy, and Kris Stewart .
