E-40 to Play Halftime Show During Stanford vs. Miami Football Game

E-40 is always repping the Bay Area, and he’ll be hyping the crowd up during a halftime show performance for Stanford University’s football game against the University of Miami on Sept. 4.

“Performing at halftime to kick off Stanford’s football season and celebrate My Ghetto Report Card ’s anniversary is going to be really special,” E-40 tells Billboard. “I’m so thankful to my brother Andrew Luck for making this moment possible.

40 continues: “We’re gonna shake the stadium up and turn it into a full-blown function that highlights Bay Area music, sports and entertainment in a powerful way.”

Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m. in the highly anticipated matchup between the Cardinals and Hurricanes at Stanford Stadium in California.

Former legendary Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck now serves as Stanford football’s general manager, and Luck credited 40 with helping define his Stanford experience while he attended the school from 2008 to 2011.

“E-40 is a Bay Area icon whose impact extends far beyond music, and we’re thrilled to welcome him to Stanford Stadium,” Luck tells Billboard . “Bringing together Stanford football, one of the region’s most influential artists, and a celebration of an album that helped define a generation and my own Stanford experience is a unique opportunity to showcase the culture and energy of the Bay Area. We’re grateful to join forces with E-40 for a special night of football and culture at Stanford Stadium.”

E-40 is also celebrating the 20th anniversary of his My Ghetto Report Card album throughout 2026. The 2006 LP debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and contained hits including “Tell Me When to Go,” which reached No. 35 on the Billboard Hot 100.
