Ella Langley’s "Be Her" Tops Country Airplay for Four Weeks, a Historic Run for a Solo Woman

Ella Langley earns her sole longest-leading Country Airplay hit as “Be Her” spends a fourth week atop the chart (dated June 27), delivering 34.2 million audience impressions June 12-18, according to Luminate.

The song’s run surpasses that of Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas,” which spent three nonconsecutive weeks at No. 1 in February and March.

“Be Her” is tied for the longest-leading Country Airplay hit by a woman and no co-billed acts since Taylor Swift’s “Our Song” ruled for six weeks in 2007. Since then, “Be Her,” Miranda Lambert’s “The House That Built Me” and Reba’s “Consider Me Gone,” the latter two in 2010, have each spent four weeks at No. 1.

Luke Combs ’ “Be by You” becomes his 27th Country Airplay top 10, vaulting five spots to No. 7 on 19.7 million audience impressions (up 9%). Since he first reached the region in April 2017 with “Hurricane,” his top 10 total leads all acts, ahead of Morgan Wallen’s 24 in that span. Combs and Wallen also boast the most No. 1s, 20 each, in that stretch.

Plus, Kane Brown pushes into the tier as “Woman” rises 13-10 in its 14th week (17.3 million, up 8%). “Backseat Driver” was his last to meet the mark, reaching No. 2 last summer. He’s placed 22 titles on the ranking so far, including 12 No. 1s, led by 2018’s “Heaven” and 2020’s “Homesick,” each of which reigned for two weeks.
