EXIT World Tour Brings Two Music Events to Montenegro
The EXIT World Tour 2026 is set to stage two major music events in Montenegro this summer, including one in early July, the same weekend the festival typically occurs in Novi Sad, Serbia.

EXIT Festival is set to arrive in Montenegro this summer as part of its World Tour 2026, bringing two major music events to the country. The first event will take place in early July, on the weekend EXIT would have traditionally taken place in Novi Sad, Serbia.
The Serbian government doing everything in its power to end this 25-year long tradition is the very reason EXIT is going on a World Tour this year .
The first Montenegro event will consist of a festival weekend on the so-called Long Beach (Velika Plaža) in Ulcinj. “Stretching over 13 kilometres of wide sandy shoreline, Long Beach is one of Europe’s most unique beach destinations and Montenegro’s southernmost landmark, offering a spectacular natural setting for a one-of-a-kind music experience,” organizers have state in a press release.
The second event is the return of Sea Dance Festival to Budva, Montenegro. It’s another event from the EXIT family that was forced to leave the country over a dispute with the Montenegrin government, which didn’t honor the terms laid out in a commercial contract with the festival team.

Sea Dance left Montenegro in 2023 for a one-off in Croatia, where EXIT also hosts Sea Star Festival. Sea Dance did not take place in 2024 and 2025, and it’s 2026 return to its original home of Budva, Montenegro, is big news.
What is even bigger news: Sea Dance 2026 will be free to attend. Tickets will be allocated through a pre-registration process, the success of which will also determine the final capacity of the event. Pollstar was told that the team has between 30,000 and 50,000 capacity per night to play with.
Over the years, Sea Dance has hosted some of the world’s biggest acts, including The Prodigy, Jamiroquai, David Guetta, Skrillex, Underworld, Fatboy Slim, Tale of Us, Boris Brejcha, Nina Kraviz and Amelie Lens, among many others. The festival has also received a European Festival Award for Best Medium-Sized Festival.
With two events in Montenegro, EXIT further advances tourism and accelerates the growth of the creative industries in the region, positioning Montenegro among Europe’s leading destinations for music and music tourism.
EXIT continues to expand its global presence with a growing international footprint that includes the first multi-day, multi-stage festival at the Great Pyramids of Giza, as well as events such as Sea Star Festival in Croatia and Spiral Festival in Malta – all while remaining fiercely independent.

The World Tour was launched following unprecedented government pressure on EXIT in Serbia, after the festival publicly supported students and the broader movement for freedom and justice, ultimately forcing EXIT to leave its home country.
In response, EXIT is taking its energy, values and community beyond borders, turning this challenging moment into an exciting new global chapter, which has already brought the festival the Promoter of the Year award at this January’s European Festival Awards in Groningen.
Previously, EXIT won three Best Major Festival titles at the European Festival Awards and UK Festival Awards, along with numerous other prestigious international awards.
Since its inception, and by its own admission, EXIT has generated more than €300 million ($350 million) in tourism revenue for Serbia, while its contribution to the country’s international image has been widely regarded as invaluable.
