Tay Keith, the Grammy-nominated producer behind hits like Travis Scott ‘s “Sicko Mode,” has died. He was 29.

The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department confirmed Keith, whose real name is BryTavious Chambers, died Thursday. A cause of death was not made available, though police said in their statement that “no foul play is suspected.”

“No foul play is suspected in the death of Brytavious Chambers, 29, also known as Grammy nominated record producer Tay Keith. He was found dead in his Martin St apt this afternoon by officers performing a welfare check. His death is unclassified pending autopsy results,” the statement reads in full.

Keith was a frequent collaborator with Scott and Drake , earning two Grammy nominations for his work with both rappers. His first nod came from 2018’s “Sicko Mode,” which appeared on Scott’s Grammy-nominated record Astroworld ; his second stemmed from 21 Savage and Drake’s “Rich Flex.” Both songs earned best rap song nominations.

The producer also worked on a number of other hits, including Drake’s “Nonstop,” Sexyy Red’s “Poundtown” and Miley Cyrus’ “Mother’s Daughter,” among others. He has additional producing credits with the likes of Beyoncé, Eminem, Lil Baby, Gunna, Metro Boomin, DJ Khaled, Cardi B and Kanye West.

Born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, Keith began his music career as a teen by making music and sharing it on YouTube and Datpiff. He met rapper BlocBoy JB at 14, when the two began collaborating on music.

His most recent producing credits included Jack Harlow’s 2025 track “Just Us” featuring Doja Cat; Scott’s single “4×4”; and “Broke His Heart” from Megan Thee Stallion’s 2024 album Megan .
