Producer Jeffrey Seller and Durham Performing Arts Center have announced a digital #HAM4HAM lottery for the upcoming Durham engagement of HAMILTON. A limited number of $10 tickets will be available for every performance during the production’s run from May 20 through June 14.

The first lottery is now open and will close at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 14 for performances taking place May 20 through May 24. Additional lotteries will open every Friday at 10:00 a.m. and close the following Thursday at 12:00 p.m. for the next week’s performances.

Patrons can enter using the official HAMILTON app, available on iOS and Android devices. Winners will be notified between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. each Thursday via email and mobile notification and will have two hours to claim and purchase tickets. Each winner may purchase up to two tickets.

Lottery tickets may be picked up at will call beginning two hours before the performance with a valid photo ID matching the entrant’s name. Organizers noted that tickets are non-transferable and void if resold.

Seen by more than 28 million people worldwide, HAMILTON tells the story of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton through a score blending hip-hop, jazz, R&B, and Broadway music styles. The musical features a book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda , direction by Thomas Kail , choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler , and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire .

The production has won 11 Tony Awards, a Grammy Award, Olivier Awards, and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. The musical is produced by Jeffrey Seller , Sander Jacobs , Jill Furman , and The Public Theater .

Based on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic 1925 novel of the same name. The Great Gatsby is set on Long Island, near New York City during the Jazz Age. The story centers on mysterious millionaire Jay Gatsby and his obsession to reunite with his former lover Daisy Buchanan. This was one of two musical adaptations to have premiered within the past couple of years. The other being Gatsby: An American Myth, which debuted in Boston in 2024.

AVL Sounds Fest announced its initial lineup of over 150 acts, headlined by DR. DOG and PRESERVATION HALL JAZZ BAND, for the four-day citywide music festival across 15+ Asheville, N.C. venues.

Splintered Stage will present LOVE/SICK, a dark comedy one-act play cycle by John Cariani, at the Erin E. McNeill Fine Arts Center on the campus of Cape Fear Academy in Wilmington, NC.
