hey, nothing Drops New Single “Boat Garage”
Atlanta duo hey, nothing, praised as "the tweemo Big Thief," releases their latest single, "Boat Garage," following up on last year's "Barn Nursery."

When the buzzy young Atlanta duo hey, nothing released their promising single " Barn Nursery " last year, our own Chris DeVille referred to them as "the tweemo Big Thief." I'm not going to do any better than that, so I'm not going to try. hey, nothing followed that single with their 33° EP. Today, they share their first new track of 2026, and they still sound like tweemo Big Thief.
Granted, hey, nothing's new song "Boat Garage" leans a little harder on the emo side of that equation. "Boat Garage" has a big, hearty chorus and a chunky riff, and it might be the catchiest song ever written about getting scared after your neighbor's house burns down. In a press release, the duo says:
Shaded by the tonal umbra of indie rock and roll, a sound that just begs you to dance, two deeply frightened individuals lay. "Boat Garage" is the manifestation of our anxieties as the world burns deeper and deeper every day. We don’t know what the hell we’re doing or how to help and so instead, we spiral, help less, worry more, look at pictures of dogs on the internet. "Boat Garage" pokes fun at ourselves for asking the question "Am I the problem?," because the answer is both "yes" and "no."
