Dazy Releases New Fuzz-Pop Tracks "BIG Problem" and "Gravity"

It's always a good day when we get some new Dazy songs. Our homie James Goodson, a musician and publicist based in Richmond, has been a human banger factory since the peak pandemic days. With his fully-solo recording project Dazy, James makes casually brilliant fuzz-pop nuggets that recall the peak '90s. Today, he hits us with his first new songs of 2026.

Last year, Dazy dropped the Bad Penny EP, The " Pay No Mind (To The Signs) " single, and the Militarie Gun collab " Tall People Don't Live Long ." (That title. Jesus Christ. I'm still mad. The nerve of these fuckers. Ian wants to talk about "James is tall." Crocodile Dundee voice: That's not tall.) Goodson is about to hit the road with Sleaford Mods, and now he's got two new glittering gems. "BIG Problem" and "Gravity" get deeper into synthy indie-dance territory than Dazy usually goes, and it sounds like James got himself a new melodica. Here's what our man says in a press release:

I think at the end of the day, I pretty much make singer-songwriter music. It’s usually just simple chord progressions and vocal melodies, but I like the idea of taking those fundamentals and finding ways to bend the presentation. I feel like the more I try to change things up, the more I sort of discover the true constants of my own songwriting, the things that make it sound like me whether it’s in the context of big distorted guitars or samples — or hopefully anything.
