Jonas Brothers took the stage for the halftime show of the NFL game between the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers in Melbourne on Friday.
For the mid-game show, held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, the group showcased a selection of hits, including “Burnin’ Up,” “Sucker,” “Listen When Sad,” and “Year 3000.” The trio also covered Australian singer John Farnham’s 1986 classic “You’re the Voice.”
The group’s participation in the game was announced last month. “We couldn’t be more excited to perform at halftime during the NFL’s first-ever regular season game in Australia,” the Jonas Brothers said in a statement. “Playing at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground in front of such passionate Australian fans is an incredible honor. We can’t wait to be part of this historic moment and celebrate with everyone in the stadium and watching around the world.”
The game marked the NFL’s first-ever regular season match in Australia. The San Francisco 49ers won, with a 27-7 victory. Ahead of the game, Cody Simpson sang the official Australian anthem, “Advance Australia Fair.”
