Kelela Prepares for July Release of New Album ‘New Avatar,’ Shares New Single

Kelela has announced her third album. New Avatar , the follow-up to 2023’s Raven , is out on July 10 via Warp. PinkPantheress, Fousheé , and A.K. Paul each feature on a song, and Kelela says, “This album finds solace in confronting. I don’t want the music to be a distraction from what’s really going on in the world; I want it to make sense in this crazy moment while helping people get in touch with the beauty and joy they’re also experiencing.” See the cover art and tracklist below.

The opening track is her recent single “Idea 1,” and the new single is “linknb.” It’s produced by Oscar Scheller (who also produced “Idea 1”), and Mischa Notcutt directed the accompanying video, which you can watch below.
