Leonard Cohen Estate Denounces Unauthorized Use of "Hallelujah" at Trump Rally
The Leonard Cohen Estate has issued a statement condemning the unauthorized use of "Hallelujah" at a recent Trump rally, clarifying that they "do not support or approve of this or any similar usage."

The estate of the late songwriter Leonard Cohen has released a statement condemning the planned use of “Hallelujah” at an upcoming rally held by President Donald Trump .
“The Leonard Cohen Estate has learned that the song ‘Hallelujah’ is to be performed at a Donald Trump rally on June 24th,” the statement read. “This use is not authorized, and the Estate does not support or approve of this or any similar usage. Thank you for your attention to this matter.”
However, one question remains: Why? Why would you play this song, of all the songs, at a political rally? And while Cohen can’t be reached for comment, a few choice words come to mind: “But you don’t really care for music, do ya?”
