Mojave 3’s complete discography to be reissued by 4AD

For the first time since their original release, all five albums from Rachel Goswell and Neil Halstead’s post-Slowdive band, Mojave 3, will be made available physically through 4AD.

Mojave 3’s complete discography to be reissued by 4AD

Mojave 3 , the post- Slowdive group featuring Rachel Goswell and Neil Halstead , are getting their five-album discography reissued by 4AD. This will be the first time the albums — Ask Me Tomorrow (1995), Out of Tune (1998), Excuses For Travellers (2000), Spoon and Rafter (2003), and Puzzles Like You (2006) — will be available on vinyl and CD since their original release. All five are out July 24 via 4AD and you can preorder them in the BV shop .

The albums were all remastered at Abbey Road Studios; Ask Me Tomorrow features newly updated artwork of photographs by Colin Gray, while the artwork for the other four albums remain in their original state. There is also slipcase box set that comes with an 8×10″ print.

When Slowdive broke up after the release of Pygmalion , Goswell and Halstead began making music that was much simpler, based around jangly acoustic guitars and their voices. 4AD founder Ivo Watts-Russell, who had wanted to sign Slowdive, offered them a deal of the strength of a demo. The band would grow to include drummer McCutcheon, keyboardist Alan Forrester and former Chapterhouse guitarist Simon Rowe.

Mojave 3 went on hiatus after Puzzles Like You but reformed to play shows in 2011 before officially calling it quits when Goswell and Halstead reformed Slowdive. The band have no plans to reform for shows as Slowdive are currently more popular than ever (and on tour this summer across the UK and Europe).
