Netflix, AEG Presents team up to launch ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ global concert tour

Netflix and AEG Presents are teaming up to bring a global concert tour based on the Netflix animated film KPop Demon Hunters to arenas and stadiums worldwide.

The live experience will bring elements of the two-time Oscar-winning film to life, Netflix announced Wednesday (May 13).

“There’s a reason so many of the most electrifying moments in KPop Demon Hunters happen during HUNTR/X’s sold-out concerts — only a crowd that loud and united can generate enough Honmoon love to keep the demon realm at bay,” the streaming giant said.

“Soon you will be able to feel that golden energy in real life.”

Netflix and AEG Presents have yet to announce which cities the tour will visit, as well as the dates. However, Amy Reinhard , Netflix’s president of advertising, told Variety that the tour is planned for next year.

“Obviously, nothing has captured the world, the world’s attention quite like KPop Demon Hunters, ” Reinhard was quoted by Variety as saying during Netflix’s presentation to ad buyers in New York City.

“There were sing-a-longs, Halloween costumes, shoutouts at the U.S. Open and Buckingham Palace. There was even a 25% spike in flights booked to Korea. And today, KPop Demon Hunters is still the most popular film on Netflix, and we’re really excited to announce that next year, in partnership with AEG Presents, we’re going to keep that momentum going with our very first world concert tour,” Reinhard said.

“The live tour is going to bring fans even closer to the characters and the music that they love, and of course, we want you to be a part of that. We’ll have more information to share about the cities later this year, so stay tuned.”

The partnership pairs Netflix’s content offering with AEG’s track record in the K-pop genre, having promoted sold-out tours for K-pop acts like BLACKPINK, JENNIE, ATEEZ, ENHYPEN, G-Dragon, LE SSERAFIM, XG, NCT 127, (G)I-DLE, BIGBANG, and TOMORROW X TOGETHER.

For AEG, the deal extends its K-pop portfolio into animated IP. AEG also operates the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and many more.

KPop Demon Hunters, produced by Sony Pictures Animation and directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, premiered on Netflix in June 2025. It accumulated 325.1 million views in its first 91 days of streaming, making it Netflix’s most-watched English-language movie ever . It also generated $24.7 million during a limited theatrical run.

The soundtrack of the film became the biggest of 2025, and HUNTR/X made history as the first K-pop girl group to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, said Netflix.

At the 2026 Oscars, KPop Demon Hunters won Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song for Golden, which marked the first time a K-pop song had won in that category. Golden also took home Best Song Written for Visual Media at the Grammys, another first for a K-pop track.

In October, Epic Games partnered with KPop Demon Hunters to bring characters and gameplay elements from the movie into Fortnite.
